Pyrohiv open-air museum is a unique historic exposition of Ukrainian housing and living settlements. 300 unique buildings of folk architecture dating from the XVI – XX centuries located on more than 150 hectares of land.
You will discover the natural geographical conditions and folk life of all regions of Ukraine.
We will make a journey back in time! We’ll visit schools where children studied in the 18th century, feel like guests in a real Ukrainian hut («mazanka»), go inside a church which is more than 400 years old, and climb up the hill to the old windmills.
It’s possible to walk through the whole territory of Ukraine without leaving the city limits!
At the Pyrohiv open-air museum you can purchase the artworks of contemporary folk-art masters, made by the same tools that have been used for hundreds of years! Most important and interesting is that many of the exhibits are truly genuine and not replicas!
Tip: The distance from Kyiv center to Pyrohiv is approximately 23 km.
Pyrohiv tour lasts up to 3 hours and costs 70 EUR for 1-3 people.
Big families and group of friends are always welcomed! If you are 4 and more people, we charge 20 EUR per person.
You always can prolong your tour and visit more beautiful places. The rate is 20 EUR per one additional hour.
We accept USD and local currency UAH as well. Please notice that tour price does not include transportation, lunch and entrance fees.
Entrance fee is included. 20-min drive from Kyiv to the museum by taxi costs 5~7 EUR (1 way). It’s an additional cost.
